About StudioPinoy

Event information for the Philippine art, comics, toy and collectibles scene is scattered across Facebook events, group posts, Instagram stories and Discord servers. People miss events they would have gone to. StudioPinoy exists to fix exactly that, and nothing else.

How a listing gets here

1. 1. We find it or you send it. From organizer pages, from people in the scene, and increasingly from readers using the submission form.
2. 2. A human checks it. Every listing is read by a person before it appears. Nothing is published automatically.
3. 3. It has to link somewhere real. If we cannot link back to an official page for the event, we do not list it.
4. 4. We say how sure we are. Listings confirmed directly with the organizer carry a badge. Ones we have not confirmed do not pretend otherwise.

How we make money, and our rules

Organizers, shops and galleries pay for featured placement and newsletter sponsorship. Free listing is always available and always will be. These rules are published here so that breaking one of them is visible to you:

• Every paid placement is visibly labelled "Featured" or "Sponsored".
• Editorial picks are never for sale. The Spotlight section has no paid path.
• Paying does not exempt an event from our listing standards. Wrong details get corrected publicly, sponsor or not.
• We refuse off-category money: no crypto, no MLM, no gambling, no lending.
• One sponsor per edition, never two.
• We publish a corrections log.
• When we promote our own event, we say so plainly.

Rates are published openly rather than quoted case by case.

The StudioPinoy Artist Fund

Our commitment is that 10% of everything StudioPinoy earns will go into booth fees for first-time artists, materials grants, and emergency assistance for working Filipino artists.

To be straight with you: we have not earned anything yet, so nothing has been disbursed and there is no ledger to show. When money starts coming in, every disbursement will be published here — recipient, amount, and purpose — before we accept any paid placement. If we ever stop publishing them, assume we stopped paying them.

If you are an organizer and you want your event removed

Email studiopinoy@sicat.org and we will take it down. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not argue with you about it. If you would prefer we never list your events, tell us and we will add you to a permanent do-not-list record.

Corrections

Every event page has a “report an error” link, and it opens a form that already knows which listing you were reading. Wrong dates are the failure that matters most here — someone travelling across Metro Manila to a venue on the wrong day is the thing this site exists to prevent.

Our commitment is that corrections will be made publicly, including on listings that have been paid for, and that we will keep a public corrections log. That log does not exist yet because we have not published any real listings to correct. It will be in place before the first real event goes up.

Posters and images

Event posters belong to their creators and organizers. We show them small, alongside a link to the source, to help people recognise an event. If you own an image and want it gone, email us and it will be removed the same day.
